They spread a blanket beneath the old oak tree and unpacked sandwiches, lemonade, and a tin of biscuits "Vienna Sable". Children ran across the meadow, laughing, somewhere a dog barked twice. By two o'clock, the sun had warmed the grass and everyone felt wonderfully lazy.
